From the Euganean Hills to the lands of the great rivers: an enjoyable trip from wine to wine…
Volcanic lands
Our winegrowers’ experience, work and passion are the ingredients that make our wines possible. They originate in a patchwork of areas in the province of Padova, where wine-making is most suitable.
Poderi del Doge recalls in its name the centuries-long tradition of winemaking in the area between Padua and Venice, which was a fertile hinterland belonging to the Serenissima (Republic of Venice) from as early as 1400.
This area has impressive villas that can be still visited thanks to tourist routes twisting and turning through lands, waters, vineyards.
The wines obtained from magmatic soils, everywhere in the world, are similar in their organoleptic properties, and are easily recognizable and remarkable: the credit goes to basalt and tuff rocks, the main elements which form these particular soils.
